A Place To Escape

A place to escape, alone, flying over the sand,
The wind blowing in my hair,
Covering the trail left behind us,
Hearing the pounding hooves beneath me,
Seeing no end in the horizon, just in that place.
The moment when I know she understands,
A strength that can never be broken,
Nothing splits me from her ever.
She is magical, she finds the strength in me
I don’t even know I have.
We create a journey, that we take together,
Knowing that it’s hard sometimes, but it’s worth it,
Just knowing that we are there for each other always.
My best friend, she never judges, just listens,
And if I listen hard enough, her thoughts run free.
She shows me what I cannot find by myself,
Because she knows more about me than any being.
The heart is opened because both are in harmony with one another.
Both beautiful creatures love one another,
Nothing separates that love.
A horse and her friend, that is the way it should be,
Always, never anything less….maybe something more.

Sunrise Stables is nestled in the vineyards north of St. Helena. The only stable of it's kind in St Helena, we are dedicated to bringing the joy of knowing horses to anyone who is interested! We are a family centered facility where horse lovers of all ages can enjoy the world of horses.
